A very good story from a small tech start up whose product (or i should say “feature) went viral. This is easy to understand and usable advice.

We’re already doing some of what he did but we’re NOT doing a lot of what he did (does).

The one that resonates best with me (mainly because i’m currently working on messaging & PR) relates to how you should pitch your product to influential bloggers. Pitch the feature, not the whole product.

The one i’ll be using for FlashIssue is “we’re the first guys to let you create a PERSONAL email newsletter specifically for Gmail. you dont need a mailing list; just use your address book”. We have a ton of newsletter features but this is a good one that stands out from a story point of view.
