Is finding QUALITY content for your email newsletter a constant struggle?  If you’re answer is yes, then keep reading because this article is about to make your life a lot easier.

I’ve put together a lot of newsletters for FlashIssue customers and I’ve learned some valuable info in the process.  Here are some of my secret tips for finding great, free content.

Let’s get started.

Don’t get too comfortable with one platform or site.

Don’t get married to one site, the key is finding a few that work for you. Scoop.it, Storify, PearlTrees, AllTop, Tumblr, Pinterest, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook are a few of the top places that I go for content.  You might find certain sites are more helpful than others, but don’t get too comfortable with just one because great new resources pop-up everyday!

Be chatty!

When you begin to start visiting these sites, make sure you are being active on them. Participate in conversations by asking questions, posting your opinions, or sharing articles.  If you really make a commitment to building relationships on these sites, you’ll be rewarded with lots o

Bookmark and organize.

Everyone is working hard and busy, but realizing that interaction with your audience is essential to your success. So, when you come across an article that would be great for your newsletter bookmark it right then and there! If you are using Flashissue we have a great plug-in to make this a breeze and it literally takes seconds! Download here!

You can also check out Google Reader – it helps you keep track of articles that appear on your favorite sites.

If you put in the work it will pay off!  It’s great that you are curating, but if the content is not quality then it could be a waste of your efforts. Use some of these simple tips and let me know if it works for you.  Shoot me a tweet @flashissue!
