Seth Godin continues to be one of the most influential voices around on the topic of digital marketing. One of his theories that has gotten a lot of attention is the idea of tribes. Basically, people are more likely to take cues from thought leaders rather than big brands.

They like email newsletters because it’s a fast and inexpensive way to communicate with their audience. Nearly everyone has email and it’s a more intimate for of communication on the web than a blog or social network.
