When people talk about curating content on the web, I think of an expert digging around the internet and putting together a collection of their favorite resources.  The only problem is this ignores a big section of the web that is in great need of curation.

It seems like social sites have started to realize that with so many users and ideas being tossed around, it’s becoming more difficult to find really meaningful and filter out the noise.  Twitter is one company who is taking steps to help make sure the cream rises to the top.  They’ve started to launch channels on their site that curate the “best and most relevant Tweets” on a given subject.

They started this with NASCAR about a month ago and just launched a channel for the Euro 2012 soccer championships.  Learn more:
