Pinterest Rolls Out Curated Newsletter for Users

A number of the social media sites have begun to roll out weekly newsletters featuring their content. The juggernaut known as Pinterest is the latest to throw their hat in to the ring. Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn all have similar offerings that feature personalized content based on your interests and social activity.
It’s another sign that curated newsletters are becoming a very popular option for staying connected with an audience.
Social media sites get some clear benefits from delivering curated newsletters:
- Connect with their audience with the most commonly used form of communication
- Drive interest and traffic back to the main site
- Deliver highly targeted content based on user interests
- Create a closed environment where there are fewer distractions than the main site
